Cinco De Mayo is one of Mexico's national holiday and we are celebrating it in a big way. Besides learning why we celebrate this special day, we are also learning a little bit of Mexico's culture. Some of the types of food they eat are some of our favorites like corn, tortillas and some of their desserts like flan. In celebration, we also created one of Mexico's most popular party craft, pinatas. Each class made their own pinata and we stuffed it with sweets. Then on Cinco De Mayo we celebrated by breaking into our pinatas to get to our treats. Happy Cinco De Mayo, we hope you get to dance as much as we did during our fiesta! |
