SAFETY & SECURITY
Supervision: Grade School age children are always supervised with the state mandated ratio of 1 teacher for every 14 kids. All teachers have been cleared through the Department of Justice and obtained fingerprint and background clearance. Additionally, at all times we have employees present who are certified in CPR and first aid.
Security: At ALL times, the main doors to our buildings are locked, making all visitors ring a bell for entry. All perimeter gates are kept locked at all times. Children are signed in and out of our centers by either a parent/guardian or our Head Teachers when departing to or arriving from their elementary schools. Children are not permitted to leave our building with someone unknown to us without providing appropriate identification that verifies them as an approved person to pick up the child. Our centers are equipped with closed-circuit cameras enabling constant monitoring of all areas of our buildings and play yards.
Anti-Bullying Policy: Kids Kare Schools is committed to being aware of and handling any bullying or aggressive behavior that threatens a child physically, verbally or cyber bullying. Our staff is actively involved in speaking with all the children in our care about what bullying is, how to prevent it and what to do if they feel they are being bullied. Kids Kare staff works with parents to ensure that all concerns are appropriately and satisfactorily addressed on an individual basis.
During the regular school year, Kids Kare Schools is proud to offer quality care for your Grade School child before and after their school day. Our program is fun and offers many enriching activities for grade school children of all ages.
TRANSPORTATION
From each of our centers, we provide bussing to and from elementary schools in the Fresno, Clovis, Madera and Central Unified School Districts. Our bus transportation service includes kindergarten, school-age and sports pick-ups. All of our bus drivers are licensed and certified in accordance with the State of California’s Code of Regulations and California’s Education Code. We have very strict policies and procedures to make sure that every child scheduled to ride the bus is accounted for. Roll is taken when dropping off and picking up the children. The bus driver will not leave the school without having every child accounted for. Once boarded, children are not allowed to leave the bus for any reason to ensure their safe return to our center. Strict enforcement of these policies helps to provide parents with a sense of security, reassuring them that their child’s safety is always of utmost concern. Upon enrollment in our center, you will receive a map indicating the actual drop-off and pick-up location at your child’s school.
HOMEWORK CLUB
In today’s world, opportunities for “family time” are often few and far between. As our lives become busier and our schedules become more hectic, time spent with family becomes a truly precious commodity. Kids Kare hopes to ease the burden placed upon today’s families by providing Homework Club, where parents can choose to sign their children up for homework help. Once a Homework ClubContract is signed by the parent, child and the center’s director, Homework Club takes precedence over any other events in our center and is located in the quietest environment possible. Our centers provide tutors as necessary to assist with homework for all age ranges. All homework is checked for completion prior to the child being released for free play. We have iMac computers, iPads and printers available for your child’s homework needs. Additionally, all centers have fully stocked libraries for reading assignments.
MEALS
Breakfast and snack are provided for all grade school children who attend our centers before and after school. Our AM and PM kindergartners are also served lunch. During all school holidays, breakfast, lunch and snack are provided to all students in attendance. All Club Kids Kare members will have hands-on fun creating special snacks and treats in addition to our normal meals served, as well as the ability to participate in Snack Shop Fridays.
FREE PLAY
As members of Club Kids Kare, your child will spend his or her mornings in comfortable, kid friendly surroundings, including plush couches and chairs for simply lounging, listening to the latest music on our iPods or socializing with friends. Our centers are filled with the latest in technology, including iMac computers, iPads, and iPods. Our fantastic game room allows kids to engage in the best of all video gaming with the XBox 360, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS, Playstation, DJ Hero, Guitar Hero, Karaoke and more. Your child will also enjoy the latest movies available in our Kids Kare Home Theater, complete with surround sound and a big screen television. The kids also have access to group games such as air hockey, billiards and board games. We have fully stocked art rooms, allowing children to develop their more creative sides as well. Our open, spacious and engaging play yards encourage outside play, exercise and socialization. Additionally our staff members are very involved with the kids and love to work on projects and participate in activities with the children.
