Groundhog day is when we use a groundhog to help us determine when spring is coming. We've learned that if a groundhog has a shadow it means spring will be late but if the groundhog doesn't see it's shadow, spring will arrive early. Along with learning about shadows and groundhogs, were learning about snowflakes and how it's created and all of the different shapes and sizes it comes in. We're also learning about wind. We even created our own tornado by using water in a bottle and spinning it as quickly as possible. We then ended our week with a snowflake parade! |
